I don't think I did much on this day.
It probably rained...
Em dashed into my room early in the morning because some guy was there checking our fire exits... we huddled together.
I started Peeps, and read about half. Good stuff!
Headed off to school with Katie when she got home from work - no hymens this time.
Instead there was an extremely annoying noise and a surplus of left-handed people.
[Maybe they're from Newfoundland...]

Instead of going out for deep-fried ice cream after, we decided we were too tired and lazy so instead settled in at home with Em and Laura to watch Shopaholic.
...With only one giant interruption.



Happpyyyyyyyy Canadaday.
Showered and had some toast, then walked over to the pub to drop off Emily's forgotten pouch.
Met up with Brenda and Duffy, and walked over to the bank, where Brenda got a little confused about punching in numbers.
Dropped in on the dep to purchase some hot dogs, [the last bag of] buns and some orange drink.
Went over to check out Parliament Hill and the festivities there, and saw a really cute Australian busker with a crazy laugh, tattoos and nipple rings :)

Al: I'm a naughty monkey!

After watching his show we went back home to get ready.
Laura and Mike had some extra tattoos - yay!
Applied them and then walked to Brenda's.

SomeGuy: Where's the dep?
SomeOtherGuy: What?
SomeGuy: The deppanneur! Where's the dep?
SomeOtherGuy: ...?
SomeGuy: The dep... the "corner store."

Drove on over to Matt's [without music, unfortunately], where Ashley, Jenn and Chris were already roasting in the sun.
The boys amused themselves trying to hit golf balls over the fence, while we listened to a whole bunch of Michael Jackson.
Got fed up with the heat, eventually and headed inside.
Whipped out the RockBand.
Llew arrived and the food started cooking!
Ashley's hamburgers were exactly what she imagined [even if they shrunk a little.]

NotAshley: You're having two? Where do you pack them??

Katie: Bread and butter, bread and butter, bread and butter.
NotKatie: What do you say to get rid of june bugs?
Matt: It's July, it's July, it's July.

Back to golfing... then moved on to the broom toss!
Llew killed us on the first toss, but Brian eventually claimed the title... I think.
Katie and I left before the water balloon fight had a chance to break out.

Back to Brenda's for some beer, pepperoni sticks and some confusing yet trying-to-be helpful conversations.
Stayed there for a bit then headed down to the hill to find Robyn and fireworks!

Anne: Anna?! I knew I'd see you!

Beautiful fireworks, and incredibly crowded streets.
Plus a really friendly guy with a dog chatting up Katie.
:)

Pigeon The Pigeon
Again slept in far later than usual, but actually had incentive to get up today.
Headed out to Anne's a little after noon, praying that the rain would hold off until I got there.
It almost did.... got a little wet but nothing too serious.
Had a minor crisis as I looked at the doorbells, but pulled through with a lucky guess.

Me: What is that? It smells delicious.... but looks incredibly disgusting.

After we ate Jen came home, and we had an intense discussion about the meaning of Anne's t-shirt.

Otter Woman... Other woman? Odder woman? Freak show? Who knows.

Went over to Bridgehead and indulged in chocolate pecan squares, yummmmm.
Jen went back to work, and Anne and I took a walk along the river.
Narrowly avoided stepping on a dead frog.

Anne drove me home in time for Katie to arrive and pick me up to walk to class.

Left school in a downpour and stopped by the Jazz Fest to talk to Ken for a bit.
Finally got home and stripped off to dry. Made some pizza and soup and watched 10 Things I Hate About You, then I became Katie's conscience for a bit.
Remembered I hadn't taken a photo yet, so snuck out with some bread and tried to beckon the pigeon down to us.
