Sleep Alone

Woke up and knew it was time to go home.
The Laportes left first, right after lunch [crab salad!!].
Katie and I took a very quick dip in the lake, that was enough.
Kudos to her for staying in as long as she did.
Emily was being harassed by an overly friendly squirrel up on the porch... which actually wasn't as funny as it sounded when it was coming for you.
We left at the same time as Brenda and Nick - before dinner, but not by much.
Got home and jetted off to Thai Express.
Then... crashed on my bed with my laptop.
Sigh. Home again.
Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Belated
Woke up bright and early to some raucous conversation and... pancakes!
Wonderful :)
The day was pretty disappointing - cold and windy. Didn't go outside very much at all.
Certainly didn't put the dock in, what with the excess of water.
We did, however, play Scattergories.

Melissa did an honourable job of playing in English.
Drove in to town [with some 3 second full stops and an interesting horn] to buy chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers, and alcohol. Party time!
Later on we drove out to the sandpit to check out the fox, which did come out of it's hole, but which Emily did not pet.
Instead we skipped rocks.
Had a highly eventful dinner...

BURN DOWN THE COTTAGE!!

Thankfully we finally found it....
and we could sleep easily. Most of us, anyway.

Nana: Keep your pecker up!

Started the bonfire after a failed attempt at getting a glowstick game started.
Out comes the alcohol!
Annik and I sat, rejected, singing Fire's Burning... in the glory!!
Finally convinced Pat to play for us - only after it got dark enough.
Took a walk out the road after 10:30 came around... nothing too exciting apart from some extremely bright lights.
Beddddd.

ABC's...
Well today I REALLY didn't do anything.
Woke up... got up... had breakfast... went on the computer... went back to bed.... good stuff.
Basically lazed around for the entire day.

Historianna: My job is going to be huge!
Conqueror: Just like my penis. But unlike my penis, I'd like you to get on it right away.

Got picked up by Brenda around 6:00 and dashed through the rain in to the car.
Stopped and almost got smushed by trucks and busses while Katie ran in to get a battery.
...A totally pointless battery.
Instead of listening to music on the drive up, we sang.
And sang. And sang.
And beat on the dashboard, in some cases.

Got to the cottage, ate a bunch of food and created a mosquito graveyard.
